Like you, when I first discovered ufurnish.com it quite literally blew my mind.
As much as I love browsing for furniture and home decor, it can actually be pretty overwhelming too. When we were furnishing our home, I felt like I had a million and one tabs open on my laptop, lost track of which website I liked items from and couldn’t easily compare items side by side to make sure I was getting the best deal.
But all that changed when I started using ufurnish.com, which now saves me both time and money.
Here’s 3 steps I take when I’m first hunting for deals on ufurnish.com to make sure I’m getting the best value for money:
1. Find your benchmark price
To know if something is a good deal, you need to first find a benchmark price. By this, I mean find the item you love and make a note of the first price you see. This is going to be the price we try to beat.
Example: I’ve searched for ‘blue chest of drawers’ and the first price I’ve seen for these drawers I love is £670 but I know we can probably find them cheaper.
2. Use the low-high price filter
I want to find these drawers for leads than £670, so the easiest way is to sort the search results by “Price: Low-High”. We can then browse through the drawers under £670 to find the same style for less.
Example: I’ve found the exact same drawers for £579. That’s a £91 saving!
3. Compare the items
Finally, toggle the ‘Compare’ tool on at the top of the page and select the items you’d like to compare. This allows us to see them side by side, compare the photos, retailer and price to make the decision on which is the best deal overall.
In this case, even with factoring in extras like delivery, the £579 chest of drawers won for me!
I always say to my community members, “the first price you see is rarely the best price” and that applies to furniture too.
