A fabulous Tahitian cultured pearl necklace, this piece features a pear-shaped pearl peg set to a grooved yellow bell-style cap and suspended from a diamond set V-shaped bail. The diamonds are channel-set to one side. The pendant is hallmarked in Edinburgh as 14ct yellow gold. While the pendant is secondhand, the chain is new and hallmarked in Birmingham as 9ct yellow gold. The total weight of diamonds in this pendant is estimated to be 0.38ct. The diamonds are graded as approx I to J in colour and SI1 to SI2 in clarity. Colour I-J fall under the group: Near Colourless G-J - More common than D-F colour diamonds, the G-J diamonds provide a great value. Similar to D-F diamonds, these diamonds are best highlighted in white gold or platinum as the white colour of the metal enhances the colourlessness of the stone.
