Lovingly hand painted by myself in top quality artist acrylic paints on canvas board. Against the inside of a metal compact / pocket mirror. This painting, titled Bee Happy! is the first in a series of miniature wildlife paintings that I will be creating. This unique miniature painting is small enough to fit in your hand, yet still includes all the detail found in one of my larger wildlife paintings. The bee has been painted with the smallest miniature painting brushes available! The inspiration for this painting came from the traditional miniature pochade boxes or tins that are often used to create plen air / outdoor paintings. The mirror is printed on the top with the title of the painting, my name & the date along with its own unique series / edition number. The lovely thing about this mirror is that it opens up to reveal the little hand painted bee on one side & the actual paint pallet that I used on the other side. This means you can see the colours used & how they were mixed. The mirror also securely closes up so that it can easily be stored in a draw of box too. This painting can be displayed in many ways, opened up free standing on a shelf or table. Or laid completely flat, it could be mounted in a box frame or hung on the wall with picture hanging strips. These little paintings look adorable dotted around the home on any shelf or sideboard & don't take up much room so ideal if space is limited. The painting will come beautifully presented in either a gift box or a hessian bag, depending on what I have available. Size when closed. 6 cm x 7 cm Max size when opened completely flat.
