With a classic design & sleek silhouette, this hallway bench unit is an useful & stylish storage solution. Oak wood meets steel for a modern twist on tradition. It includes seating bench, hooks perfect for hanging coats, hats & scarves, as well as an open mesh shelf space well-suited to storing shoes. The steel work is made from 50x50mm steel box section. The oak bench & coat rail are made from 20mm thick solid oak & finished in 2 coats of Osmo clear wax. Standard dimensions: bench height 450mm, bench depth 200mm, overall height 1800mm. Width: 600mm (3 coat hooks), 900mm (5 coat hooks), 1200mm (7 coat hooks), 1500mm (9 coat hooks), 1800mm (11 coat hooks). Please note - the hooks will be the same design as per front picture (solid metal without numbers). The coat rails are screwed onto the back of the uprights. The unit is made & arrives in one piece fully welded ready to use. With our in-house powder coating facility, steel frame can be finished in wide variety of colours to the highest standard. MATERIAL Our frames are made from ERW steel box which is so called because of the electronic resistance welding method employed in its manufacture, which uses a combination of heat & pressure resulting in a very consistent & strong forged weld seam. However it is employed, mild steel square ERW box offers a terrific level of performance & reliability, & it is also favoured as a very 'green' option as it is widely recycled. Mild steel square box benefits from the strength & low weight of this structure. FINISHES CLEAR FINISH - legs are degreased & then powder coated in clear gloss or clear matt to give a hard wearing coating, protecting from rust & enhancing the industrial steel finish. Applying a clear powder coat directly to steel, adds a layer of protection & your preferred level of gloss, just like an opaque powder coat would. However, unlike standard powder coats, a clear coat keeps steel's natural colour, all imperfections, weld & burn marks visible. POWDER COATING STANDARD COLOURS - welds are ground off & sanded back to a smooth finish, next they are degreased & then powder coated in a stock colour to give a high quality hard wearing coating, protecting from rust.
