A clean white field carries a grid of large rust brown squares arranged in even columns across the full surface, each square separated by small black dot accents that punctuate the white ground between them. A dark green vertical stripe borders both long edges, & bold black square bands run along the top & bottom of the rug, giving the entire piece a strong, structured frame. The four colors sit together with natural ease, earthy & grounded without being heavy. The grid of squares draws from the patchwork of cultivated fields & terraced earth of the Moroccan countryside, land divided & tended by Berber communities across generations, each plot bounded & distinct. The rust brown tone draws from the sun-baked clay walls & Atlas soil of the Moroccan south, a color deeply rooted in the Berber built & natural landscape.
