Made to Order - Hand Woven Rag Rug - Pick & Pick Pattern This is a wonderful color focused pattern called Pick & Pick. You work with two colors at a time, alternating them, in what turns out to be thin stripes. There are so many possibilities - you pick (and pick). I really like the second one with all the blues. This rug can be ordered in sizes up to 32 wide & as long as you like. Because of the method I use to weave, this rug is very dense but does loosen up with use. There is a right & wrong side - mostly because of the hem but you can use either side & probably not see the difference. It can be made with a fringe instead of the hemmed edge. The rugs come from a smoke-free & pet friendly home, I can ship almost anywhere - let me know if I can add your location. The price listed is for a rug 24 X 36. There may be a slight variation in the colors, due to availability. How to Launder My Rugs I recommend minimal laundering but when you have to, use a gentle cycle in cold water & dry flat. I hose mine off when weather permits & let them dry flat. To lengthen the life I think it is best to shake out these rugs holding the length not the width. The Scandinavians was them in the snow. How I Make My Rugs All of my rugs are made with bias cut strips of fabric which allows them to be more durable & flexible than other methods. It also eliminates all the strings/threads you can see on some rugs - just a little bias fluff sometimes visible on mine. I use laundered re-cycled sheets & tablecloths in a wide range of color. They are all hand-woven by me on a 36 Kessenich floor loom. My goal is to only use natural fibers so the fabric in the rugs is nearly always 100% cotton. The only exception might be a spectacular color that is only available with a little man-made fiber in the content. I never go higher than 50/50.
