This unique solid bronze sculpture has two parts fitting together. The two times two figures are in an acrobatic pose My son is circus artist, he has inspired me to create this image. The two figures can stand apart. You can even use them as bookstands. The bronze is smooth finished & colored in black-brown patin. The figure is made shiny with bee wax & copper brush. The size is 20 cm.(about 8) long, 5 cm. (2) wide & 15 cm. (6) high. Weight about 800 gr. (1.76 pound). You definitely can find a nice place to put this sculpture. It can be a wonderful present for somebody doing acrobatics too. Making a bronze sculpture is a lot of work. You have to make a wax form first, you can use all kind of materials as long as it can burn. I like to use materials from nature. You have to make a mold around the wax form, which is a very precise job. Then the mold is put in the oven for a long time at high temperature. After cleaning, the mold can be filled with red glowing liquid bronze. After that, it's still a lot of work to get the sculpture the way you want it. I did this process, except casting, myself a few times, But now I have found a professional caster in bronze, that my sculptures in bronze cast.. The costs making a bronze sculpture are high, but BRONS IS FOR EVER It is hard work but very nice to do. I like to make human figures in different positions, intimate, or acrobatic.
