Dance Bronze Sculpture/ Pod With Dancing Figures Without Hat/ Joyful Abstract Statue Movement & Rythm/ 9.8

This solid bronze sculpture is made from a large decorative pod from the Honey Locust tree in front of my house. The bronze figures welded on the bronze pod, look like humans although they have no head. There is movement & rhythm in the sculpture, they seem to introduce you to dance with them I am a perfectionist & making figures like this is a good experiment This pod is made a bit thicker to be sure the bronze was filling the mold nicely. I like to use products from nature. The size is 25 cm. (9.8)wide, 10 cm.(3.9) high & 7 cm. (2.8)deep. Weight about 720 gr. (1.58 pound) There is molded a 6 mm.( 0.024) wide 13 cm. (5) long copper rod under the pod. THE PEDESTAL IS NOT INCLUDED A pedestal makes your sculpture, but they are expensive & because of the weight they make the price of sending extra high. I am sure you can find something to make a pedestal A nice piece of wood, a brick or a nice stone with a flat side under can do very well too. You can go to a stone cutter to ask him to make a hole in it. They usually sell sockets in all different sizes. I am sure the sculpture can find a nice place somewhere in your house. The bronze is smoothly finished & colored in black-brown patina The figures are welded, The sculpture is made shiny with bee wax & brass brush. ). Making a bronze sculpture is a lot of work. You have to make a wax form first, you can use all kind of materials as long as it can burn. I like to use materials from nature. Making a mold is a very secure job. The mold is put in the oven for a long time. After cleaning, the mold can be filled with red hot flowed bronze. I did this process, except casting, myself, But now I have found a professional bronze caster who is casting my sculptures. The costs making a bronze sculpture are very high, It is hard work but very nice to do.
