Darya Made by our weavers in Aqchae & Andkhoy, in Northern Afghanistan. Inspired by aspects of old Turkish, Afghan & Oriental rugs, the patterns are simplified, sometimes into abstract movement of colours across the rug, some being quite modern & contemporary in new colour combinations for 21st century homes. The handspun wool is dyed using traditional vegetable & local dye recipes before the wool pile is knotted onto a wool warp. The rugs are very soft, almost fluffy & pliable in feel.
