This lathe sculpted wall hanging is titled Walking the Path. It is made out of Yellowheart & crotch Walnut. It is 54 tall, 25 wide & approximately 1 1/8 thick. It does still have the natural bark edge along most of the outer sides, on the Walnut pieces, & near the top along the inner edges of where the crotch of the tree was. Both pieces have been turned individually on my wood lathe. They are textured, then sanded & polished. Then the pieces are cut into strips & intermixed with the other contrasting type of wood. It is pre-hung with eye hooks & wire on the back. The final picture show the inscription placed on the side of the piece. It has my name, the year it was created, the title of the piece & the word Spiritwolf. Family legend has that this was a long ago ancestors surname & is place on all my sculptural pieces as a way to pay homage to my ancestors. This piece would look spectacular on the wall in your office, dining room, bedroom or the lobby of your business.
