Perhaps the most familiar of all ducks, Mallards occur throughout North America & Eurasia in ponds & parks as well as wilder wetlands & estuaries.They feed in the water by tipping forward & grazing on underwater plants. They almost never dive, they're likely to be accepting food handouts from humans. Can be easily domesticated, This carving is made of one piece of tuple & two pieces of bass ,with feathers carved & burned. It captures the delicate balance of flight without effort.
