Kantha Inspired Baby Quilt/Linen Hand Quilted Whole Cloth Quilt/ Crib Blanket Shower Gift

This minimalist Baby Quilt is inspired by traditional Kantha quilts made by women in Bengala, Bangladesh & some states of India. Measurements are aprox. 44x36. It is handmade with high quality 100% natural fibers: the top is 100% white linen, I used a very light weight cotton gauze for the batting, & plain cotton muslin for the backing (that you can see in 5th picture) Hand quilted with embroidery thread in bright colors, following the classic kantha pattern: straight lines of uneven stitches that add handmade & organic charm & keep the three layers secure for the long life of the quilt. I added four little tassels in the corners to give it a funny touch. This quilt can be used as a stroller blanket, a lap quilt or as a bed cover. It's perfect to be used it in the spring & summer time, even to take to the beach. Linen is a natural, fresh fiber that resists well frequent washes & becomes more beautiful with use & time. Its wrinkled appearance leaves a more natural look to this blanket. Machine wash on a gentle cycle, tumble dry low or delicate. Made in a smoke free home. Although I do not use any filters on my pictures, colors may vary due to computer monitor or device variations. Customization: custom colors & sizing available.
