A happy mermaid swims through the water along with tiny salmon colored fish! Her long flowing hair & tail are darker blue/green than the various seaweed around her. She swims elegantly & freely in the deep ocean. The backing is a light green minky fabric. There is no batting between the layers allowing for a more lightweight blanket. All fabric has been prewashed. I used a wavy stitch to quilt diagonally across the quilt. The binding is double thickness fabric which is the same salmon colored fabric that is used on the inner border. The corners of the binding are mitered for a professional finish. Various pinwheel blocks & half square triangles make up this wonderful spinny energetic qult. This quilt measures 45 X 54 inches. This is the perfect size for a young girl. It is so soft & cuddly with the fluffy minky backing. It would make a perfect gift. It is machine wash, air dry, dryer fluff.
