The tealight holder - candlestick is made of driftwood, which I collected in Sweden in Ljungdalen at a reservoir. It can be pine, larch, birch or alder wood. When I collect it, it has already come a long way & has been floating or lying in the river - lake for a long time. Therefore it is not possible for me to determine the exact species. The wood is natural. Only parts that are too long have been sawn off and, if necessary for a better stand, bumps on the underside are sanded down. The holes for the tea lights are 40 mm, so that standard tea lights, scented tea lights & also LED tea lights fit into the candlestick. A beautiful piece of decoration from the Scandinavian wilderness The natural material wood gives me the templates for the design of my objects with its diverse shapes, colors & grain. It is a wonderful, warm & lively material. All my wooden objects can have pores, cracks, knots, defects & also wormholes or signs of insects or other animals. These are deliberately not removed by me, but used to design the objects. Just like us, nature is not perfect & has small quirks & mistakes. It is up to us to accept them & to see the real beauty in the materials that nature offers us. It gives us so many wonderful things, you just have to discover them & perceive them.
