This Mother & Child Art sculpture makes a makes a very special gift for all mothers. I created this sculpture as a way of sharing that special time between a mother & her baby. 'Precious' catches a moment of pure delight. The special feeling that there is nothing more important than this precious life you are holding in your hands. This joyful sculpture celebrates a mother's feeling that her child is the most precious thing in all the world. It's size is size 13 x 9 x9 cm (5 x 4 x 4) which makes it a perfect size to pick up & hold & feel the smooth shape & texture of this handcast stone sculpture. My sculptures are often purchased for gifts & I am happy to gift wrap it for you free of charge & send it directly to anybody you choose anywhere around the world. If you request it, I will even include a lovely handwritten card with your own special message. Each one of these sculptures have been lovingly handcast in a special sculptural medium called cast stone. It has a lovely smooth natural feel & a pleasantly satisfying weight & texture. All of my sculptures feel wonderful when you hold them in your hands & are meant to be picked up & touched as well as looked at. Each sculpture has been individually signed with my signature inscribed into the bottom of the sculpture Precious comes with a printed story card which includes the meaning & ideas behind the creation of the sculpture. A special gold wash has been rubbed into each sculpture to enhance the variations in texture & detail. Please note that due to the handmade nature of the sculptures, no two of these mother & child sculptures are exactly alike, & the final finish may very slightly from what is shown in the picture. Each sculpture is shipped encased inside a thick walled, tough cardboard box. For added protection, each sculpture is surrounded by several layers of bubble wrap. Over the years, my sculptures have been sent to many countries all around the world.
