Beckon the beach with this tranquil seascape wall hanging! It measures 13 across x 17 1/2 long. This wall hanging will add color & beauty to any seaside cottage or help you re-capature memories of delightful times at the seashore. Color appropriate cotton fabrics have been selected to represent the sky, water, beach, & land. Straight & curved lines of quilting ,shell embellishments, & appliqued sun & clouds add to the seashore effect. The backing is classical off white muslin & the binding is double fold bias tape that matches the colors of the fabric representing the sea. The binding was sewn to the front of the piece by machine & hand sewn on the back. The inner layer is cotton batting which adds some loft to the wall hanging but keeps it lightweight. A horizontal sleeve for the insertion of a hanging rod or dowel has been added to the top of the back of this quilt. This pictured quilted wall hanging is ready to ship but I might also be able to make a similar custom one for you, depending on the availability of appropriate fabrics.
