MY DESIGN STORY: I created the design for the abstract wall hanging using paper & scissors (paper cuts). I cut out the shapes, scan them in, & edit them digitally on the computer, but the basis is always handmade. I really wanted to see my designs large, but doing that on paper is a hassle, especially with framing. I went looking for a different solution & ended up printing on thick cotton. So, after designing, I have it printed on fabric, have a wall hanging made, & saw the rods to size. The paper cuts give the wall hanging an artisanal, handcrafted, & also imperfect feel, & that imperfection is exactly what I look for in my designs. The wall hanging has 2 tunnels, at the top & bottom, for the birch wood sticks with the iron eyelets for the string. (included) With these thin rods, the wall hanging is not heavy & is therefore easy to hang on 1 screw or nail. An eye-catcher for your space. It gives your room character & atmosphere, & helps with the acoustics. Wall hangings can be a very personal choice, reflecting your taste, interests, & stories. INFORMATION: TITLE: On top of the world, pink & burgundy MATERIAL: Your wall hanging is printed on thick, sturdy, & robust cotton with water-based ink. MADE IN: The Netherlands: It is printed & made in the Netherlands. According to BCI (Better Cotton Initiative), the cotton is a collaboration with various organizations for the sustainable cultivation of cotton. TUNNELS: 2, both above & below for the wooden sticks. STICKS: 2 lightweight, round birch sticks hold the tapestry upright & provide the weight. Metal eyelets are attached to the ends (top stick). The (hemp) rope is attached to these so that you can hang the tapestry immediately on 1 screw or nail. It weighs almost nothing. IRONING: A steam iron on the back (not the front) of the rug easily removes the wrinkles. It does not need to be on the hottest setting. WASHABLE: no, unfortunately not ACOUSTICS: One advantage of a wall hanging is its sound-dampening effect, making it ideal for the home office with all those Zoom calls. Also, if you suffer from an echo in your home, perhaps due to that beautiful open kitchen, a wall hanging on the wall can have a positive effect on the acoustics. SHIPPING: I will send the tapestry to you rolled up in a square cardboard tube wrapped in bubble wrap (reusing as much as possible) via Post.nl parcel service. If possible, I will cycle to the post office the same day, otherwise usually the next day. TARRIFS USA: Buyers are responsible for any tariffs, duties & fees that may apply. RETURNS: Please note, returning items (shipping & customs) from America turned out to be expensive for both the customer & me, so if there is something wrong with the product, we will resolve it. However, please consider carefully beforehand whether you really want the tapestry, because returning it simply because you don't like it can be expensive (outside Europe), as the return costs are the responsibility of the customer.
