Hand sewn cushion cover made from Morris & Co linen union in piped in a matching caramel gold cotton. This design was one of Morris own favourites among his printed chintzes. The design takes its name from the nodding snakes head fritillary blooms that complement the larger more formal motifs. The dramatic flame like motif & alternating spiky clusters of foliage seem held in suspension by the delicate scrolling tendrils that form the background. All the seams have been double sewn & four stitched overlocked for strength & there is a concealed zip beneath the piping on the reverse for ease of opening. Dry clean only.
