Screech Owl Portrait Wall Sculpture Picture Tile

This is a portrait of 'Sinbad', an owl we met at a raptor rehab center in Baltimore, where my wife was working. This little owl sadly had only one eye & was a 'lifer' at the center. Screech owls naturally appear in two distinct color phases, red or grey. With their strong, almost human features, owls make great subjects for sculpture! From my original high relief sculpture in soft clay, I made a mold. Into this mold I cast hydrostone cement to make editions. The editions are then colored by hand . For this reason, each casting is a unique work of art. This item can also be cast in concrete for outdoor use.
