Ceramic Clock, Wall Art, Handcrafted, Black & White, Swirling Squares, Battery Quartz Clock Movement

My clocks are designed as functional wall art. Several of the geometric designs were inspired by my love of quilts. My surrounding often inspire my work such as; autumn leaves, sunlight on a brook, or flowers in my garden. My ceramic clocks are hand-thrown from a white stoneware clay. I utilize a variety of decorative techniques for each clock pattern. The geometric patterns are created by hand cutting a paper stencil. The stencil is applied to the clock & moisten slightly with water. A color slip is brushed over the stencil. Once the slip is slightly firm the stencil is carefully pulled off the clock. The clock is fired twice in a kiln. The final step is installing the clock movement. The quartz clock movement has several features; an off/on switch, clock hands time set knob, minute hand, uses one AA battery & is made in the USA. The AA battery is included.
