Hand painted by me, this coolie shade is inspired by the beautifully eclectic interiors of the Bloomsbury group, such as Charleston Farmhouse, home of Vanessa Bell & Duncan Grant. This one has been inspired by a design for an embroidered panel by Grant, with the floral motifs being an exuberant yellow trumpet flower & a tightly budded dahlia. The colour palette is warm brown, yellows & warm pink & green. The shape of the shade is a coolie style suitable for pendant or lamp base fittings. The shade is also adjustable allowing you to tilt the shade to read or work by. The shade is painted using colourfast fabric paint which gives a warm ambience to blend with most interiors when lit. The shade can be created to order in two sizes on this listing, 30cm base width - height 19cm & 10cm top diameter 25cm base width - height 17cm & 10 cm top diameter.
