This rustic, southwestern style dreamcatcher is very unique in that it is made with repurposed denim & is decorated with various, colorful cotton fabrics, including glass & ceramic beads. The hoop is 5 1/2 inches diameter, wrapped in white denim (repurposed jeans), & the webbing is waxed nylon thread with copper colored glass beads (6 beads) sewn in. There are also 6 ceramic beads strung into the colorful fabric accents. These ceramic beads are handmade & no two are the same. This dreamcatcher's total length is 23 inches. Dreamcatchers were originally made by native American Indians. The shape of the dreamcatcher is a circle because it represents the circle of life & how forces like the sun & moon travel each day & night across the sky. Traditionally, dreamcatchers are hung in homes to sift dreams & visions. Good dreams are captured & held in the web of life... & bad dreams are caught during night & disposed of through the center's hole when the day comes.
