Denison Santa Claus Carving

This character is 14 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches wide & 2.o inches deep. He is hand carved with tools from the 1800's; This carving was done on Sunrise Street where the music from your celebrations filters down, actually an anachronism. My phone is a land line...I am in the Granville directory. Today one finished, & 5 partially carved. having computer problems. Faces are done & antiqued, then I can finish & mail the carving on Monday.. My guys have been in some 12 magazines, .. There are two blue cards showing... One is my Denison community scholar card, the other is added to my items denoting I made the best of the best for inclusion in Early American Life's traditional craftsman directory. I leave the back of the carving in clear lacquer.. A lot of the kids use these as dorm autograph books. A memento of the friends you have made.. Chisel carving was done with tools from 1793? to 2004. If you are in town & ordering, I can deliver to the dorm. I have to get a flip phone or something to be more up to date. My shop name has been in town since 1969.. Several people have asked why I don't sell through the campus store.. Make 15 to 20 a year.. Time per carving (total) is around 3.0 hours.. My shop would be state of the art for the early 1800's.Material cost per item runs $10 to 15 dollars.. No heat or air-conditioning...It sez I have ten items available..
