With thunder & lightning as his soundtrack, our adventurous artificer & intrepid inventor's thoughts wandered to contemplating the incomparable. Perhaps it was the proximity to harvest time, the wine that flowed freely with dinner, or the deep discussions dangling down the dessert docket that led to this transitive train of thought. Much like the exact origin of man, little is indisputable regarding the inception of the grape. With our common history of domestication, these mediums provide a natural pairing; a vintage, well aged & worldly. We may produce derivative disagreements as to the ancestral roots that connect the provenance of both Homo erectus & Vitis, but we can all agree on the undeniable optical illusion provided by either: the shrunken skull & the drunken grape.
