SHADE OPERATION & CHILD-SAFE HARDWARE The cord locks we use are of the highest quality, so they don't squeak. Operating the shade is smooth, light & reliable. The cord is not fixed to the bottom of the shade but held by a spring leveling orb. This simple feature prevents from the cord being a safety hazard. Pulling the cord with more force will just let out the cord completely & not form a loop. Control cords are placed on either right or left side according to your instructions. in case you wonder, we don't offer cordless systems as they are very unreliable. ???? This method is proven to hold very strong, & it makes the installation process effortless. Just peel & stick, one person can do it all in just seconds! Be sure to press in for about 10 seconds, as the 3M tape is activated by pressure, rather than contact. Removing is also very simple, but it requires rotating the shade panel to break the tapes adhesiveness. If any tape residue is left, it can be easily rolled off with fingers, especially when warmed up with a...hair-dryer. Only 1 clearance is needed for inside mount Alternatively, you can use the old fashion method, & screw it with tools. The mounting head rail comes with pre-drill holes, so that is also possible. ????
