Kutnu is a woven textile with a shiny surface & colourful vertical stripes, made with silk warps (lengthwise yarns) & cotton wefts (crosswise yarns) & woven in the hand looms. in Turkey, the art of weaving kutnu is only practised in Gaziantep & is the early example of the art of textile printing. Anatolia is famous for rugs & carpets. Women weave them & reflect their emotions through traditional motifs on rugs & carpets. The embroidered symbol on this product is Eli Belinde figure which means hands-on hips & symbolizes motherhood & fertility.
