We use a natural eco wax combination of beeswax & soy wax as whilst the incredible strength of beeswax ensures our candles have a much longer burn time than soy candles, adding a blend of creamy soy wax also gives them a buttery texture that really elevates the aesthetic of these beautiful pastel shades. These candles fit in to a large letter box so are ideal for delivering as gift. You have the option to write a personal message to your gift receiver which will be neatly laid out opposite the packaged candles as soon as they open the box! With sustainability & eco-consciousness at the heart of what we do, we didn't want to create just any candle! So we spent time researching & discovering how our very own collection of candles could truly fit within the core values of Allumee. Our first finding was that wax made from the material 'paraffin' is used to create a large percentage of candles on the market today. However, being a byproduct of petroleum & containing toxins that pollute the air each time a paraffin candle is lit, we soon realised that this was not the wax for us! After exploring a range of alternative waxes, our findings eventually led us to create a candle collection made from a pure beeswax & soy wax blend. Due to it being an entirely natural material, beeswax is widely considered the most environmentally friendly wax. Producing negative ions when burned, those ions help to neutralize pollutants in the air, resulting in beeswax candles having the purest of flames. As well as being natural, soy wax is also vegan, meaning it's also an incredibly eco-friendly material. The waxes natural components also mean that they're 100 percent biodegradable! Carefully hand poured by us in our London studio, these candles are truly special & are sure to bring a beautifully eye catching & unique 'twist' to any home!
