Wood Candleholder Set

Made from a Douglas fir 4x4, this candle holder set of 3 gives the room that touch of nature & elegance it's been missing! I start with a 10' 4x4, chopping away at the corners with an axe to give it a random weathered shape, & smooth away all imperfections with a belt sander, starting from 60 grit (then 80g, 120g, 150g) to 220 grit. I then sand with an orbital palm sander from 100 grit all the way to 320 grit. I then cut pieces to length to make a 3.5, 5.25, & 7 3 piece set & drill the 2 holes for the 2 glass candles. Each piece is then torched on the sides, & the end grains are sanded totally smooth to 320 grit. I then give the torched sides a light sanding to enhance the natural wood color. The pieces are then stained & lightly sanded again & finished off with glossy lacquer. I have multiple colors, but sets come in one color each. See other posting for mixed/ multiple colors. The 2 hole will also fit a 2 pot from your local nursery nicely. Colors choices include barn red, worn navy, weathered grey, sun bleached, & aqua. Colors will be added as I make more.
