For a clean burning, the best length is about 8 mm. Do not hesitate to trim the wick before each burn. To avoid a tunneling effect, always let the first layer of wax melt until the edges of the container but never burn more than 4 hours in a row. When you extinguish the candle, don't blow on the flame but close the lid on the candle. It will smother the flame & your candle will only last longer.
