Flowing Harmony is a one-of-a-kind hand-carved walnut wood sculpture shaped by the tension between structure & movement planes that open, intersect, & resolve into a single cohesive form. I carved it without sketches or predefined plans. The first cut revealed the direction; everything that followed was a response to the wood's grain, density, & resistance. The central opening emerged naturally not as a design decision, but as a consequence of the form finding its own balance. I don't carve wood. I carve what I feel & the wood responds. This abstract wood sculpture has an architectural quality unlike anything else in my work. Geometric planes overlap & cut through each other with the precision of structure, yet the overall form remains entirely organic the result of intuition, not calculation. The central opening frames the space behind it, & as light moves throughout the day, the shadows it casts shift across the surrounding surfaces, making the sculpture part of the room rather than simply an object within it. The walnut reveals warm tonal variation across the surface. Light settles differently in the recesses & on the raised planes, shifting the sculpture's character hour by hour. From one angle, it feels compact & grounded. From another, open & expansive a completely different object from the same piece of wood. This is not a decorative object. It is a sculptural presence intended for spaces where material & form matter. Presence in space At 54 cm tall with a 40 cm span, Flowing Harmony has the presence of a statement piece without overwhelming a room. Place it on a console, sideboard, or pedestal where boczne light can reach it, & the shadows can move freely across the wall behind it. It works naturally in contemporary, minimalist, & Japandi interiors & pairs particularly well with architectural spaces where clean lines & natural materials coexist.
