SIZE Stencil - 12 x 12 Herringbone Pattern - 8.5 wide MATERIAL - Semi-Mylar Sheet SHARPIE PAINT PEN TIP - We created this stencil to use with a sharpie paint pen to apply with ease. We highly recommend using the sharpie paint pen for the easiest & cleanest application. The best paint pen to use for this stencil is a water-based Sharpie paint pen, in a medium tip. We only recommend using an oil-based Sharpie paint pen if stencil will be applied in a bathroom. If applying on a wall - use painter's tape to keep your stencil in place, while coloring in the lines with your sharpie paint pen. It helps to shake the paint pen a few times after every few strokes of application, then pressing down lightly when applying. Avoid overloading the paint tip. STENCILING TIP Our stencil has an easy registration system, just use the rows of the previously painted pattern to align the stencil. Just be sure to check that it is level & then continue! When lining up the stencil for the vertical rows, use the edge of the stencil itself & line it up to the edge of your previously painted pattern. (For a visual please see the last image) PAINTING TIP If you decide to use this stencil with paint, for the best results, be sure to use a dry stencil brush or foam brush. Make sure to remove any excess paint from the brush when loading to prevent bleeding under the stencil. Press the stencil firmly on the wall when you apply the paint. Also, be sure to use painter's tape to secure & to mask off the edges of the design. When cleaning the stencil after paint application: We recommend that you do not wash it, but instead, gently wipe it down with a wet cloth to remove any leftover paint on the stencil.
