Paint is dabbed into the fibers, which makes the rug particularly durable. This also means that each doormat is unique & may differ slightly from the product photos. The way the photos appear also depends on your screen settings. The rug is a product made from natural materials, with a surface consisting of 99.5% robust coconut fibers. The loss of individual fibers is perfectly normal, not an indication of poor quality, & not a reason for return. The underside of the carpet is made of natural latex & prevents the mat from slipping. To ensure your mat lasts a long time, I strongly recommend protecting it from the elements (especially rain, snow, & frost) & using it indoors only.
