It also can accommodate the battery operated versions to leave on while you are away or for sites that do not allow open flames in or around tents. The Velum completely hides the fact that it is not a real flame. Easily fit a hand in to change out candles. Fireplace matches or BBQ lighters are perfect for lighting this lantern.
