This quilt was made by assembling a snowflake block, then cutting it in half & sewing it to another block cut in half. What fun to make! I used a blanket stitch to outline each snowflake. I intended to have the overall look to be dark & cold, but also beautiful & sparkly. The deep blues contrast with the bright white to achieve that feel. It measures 39 X 50 inches. The quilt is machine washable, machine dry. It has a sash or pocket on the back to hang if desired. The binding is double thickness for durability & hand sewn onto the back side for a professional finish. The corners are mitered. I extended the lines of the blocks into the border for interest. I machine quilted it using a wavy line diagonally across the quilt. The colors are bright & eye catching! A beautiful piece of work!
