Speaker, Loudspeaker, Bookshelf, Enclosure Plans Ellipse E104, cedar pine These are plans to build your own original custom speaker design. The plans use quality Dayton Audio components such as the RS100P-4, 4 woofer & the DC28F- 1-1/8 silk tweeter. The enclosure was developed using speaker enclosure software as well as a good old fashioned calculator (I've been designing speakers for quite awhile now). in addition, I have included the plans for the speaker stand shown called the BM120 & will be posed for sale separately in the near future since the stand can be used for any flat bottom smaller speaker. As shown, the speaker enclosure is made from Cedar with a Blue Pine inlay on the faceplate. These woods are common in northern Washington State & I did the full circle lifecycle of these woods from log to finished product. However, the wood can be any material you choose even MDF or similar if you prefer a painted look. The best part of these plans is you can really make them your own & I look forward to seeing everyone's finished project & the variations they chose. The enclosure measurements are 26 tall x 6 wide x 5 deep (not including the stand). Included in the downloadable package are full scale 'B' PDF drawings, DXF files, STL files, & basic instructions to get you started. These plans do NOT require a CNC router & basic shop tools are fine, however, you should have knowledge in woodworking before attempting to build this project. Other mechanical CAD or Mechanical CAM software will work as well such as BobCad or CamBam or Meshcam among many others. - even old versions. SUmmARY: Difficulty (1 to 5): 4 CNC Required: No but a CNC Router is recommended, otherwise plan to sand to shape. Approximate cost of components & materials: $220 Time required to finish: 30hrs.
