The top is 8 1/4 wide by 16 long & is a single piece of curly maple with a stunning tiger stripe figure. The sides are made from American Black Walnut & provide a beautiful contrast to the maple top. The wood is sourced from a local sawmill & is assembled with traditional joinery techniques, no metal fasteners are used. The dovetails are cut with a hand saw & carefully fit together using a chisel to get the perfect fit for the strongest connection. Each stool is finished with multiple coats of tung oil to provide a durable finish that is quick & easy to restore.
