This pastel colored REDFISH ART PILLOW #RF022 is a large 25.5 x 10 (nose to tail-fin to fin) she is a chubby 16 around her middle. she just wouldn't be a Redfish without the 3 spots on her tail & body! I Love the soft colors of the batik fabric on her body & tail! Shaped very much like a real Redfish, this colorful ART pillow is sturdy & carefully handmade in the USA from 100% cotton Batik Fabric in shades of pink, green, teals, purples, lavender, . Her tail & fins are stitched twice to give them a 3D look & feel & her side fin is free moving. Each fish takes me many hours to complete & are uniquely created by selecting & cutting each piece of hand printed Batik fabric to combined for the right balance of shape, colors & contrast. they are all different, sometimes I think they pick their own fabrics! Tying her up are lots of fancy stitch patterns including (but not limited to) fish bones, ocean waves, puffy hearts, dragonflies, seaweed, leaves, & stars using variegated cotton thread of teal, yellow, orange, & green. Her sassy eye is made from an 3/4 teal crackle porcelain button securely stitched with colorful thread. The back of the pillow is made from slightly off white with hand dyed pink, blue & green swirls batik fabric that has been over stitched with multi-color cotton thread making it almost as pretty as the front! She arrives firmly stuffed with all new poly batting.SMOKE FREE PET FREE STUDIO! This is my artistic celebration of one of my favorite fish to catch here in the skinny waters off of Pine Island in Southwest Florida, a Redfish (or red drum if you prefer, Sciaenops ocellatus) HANG A SCHOOL OF THEM on the wall for a dramatic look or let him chill on your couch.
