Romantic handmade Toile de Jouy quilt in blue, yellow & ivory. This one-of-a-kind patchwork quilt is made from nearly 70 individual diamond-shaped pieces, with no two sections exactly alike. The many different fabrics, scenes & motifs come together as a rich composition filled with details to discover over time. This quilt was created from carefully collected fabric remnants from cushion covers, bags & other handmade projects. My goal is to use beautiful fabrics as fully as possible & transform them into something new with its own unique character. Every single diamond was individually cut & assembled by hand. The diagonal layout creates movement across the quilt, giving it a different feel from every angle. From the first design layout to the final thread, more than 60 hours of work went into creating this one-of-a-kind piece. Between the front & back layers is a batting that gives the quilt structure & a beautiful substantial feel, making it comfortable & cozy without feeling heavy. It works beautifully as a sofa throw, a bed accent or as a decorative textile piece for French country & vintage-inspired interiors. Matching cushion covers made from similar fabrics are also available in my Etsy shop. The size is 2.00m widex1.85m high (78x73 inch). The fabrics are made of pure cotton & prewashed. material: front 100% cotton back 80% cotton, 20% polyester washable at 30 degrees Stated prices are total prices.
