Because this Ruby Throated Hummingbird is suspended by its tongue from a flower, it is able to move from the slightest touch. It is molded in Pellucida, our proprietary compound of resins that is similar to but actually more durable than Bisque porcelain, then delicately airbrushed here in the Studio. Mounted on its select polished burlwood base it stands about 7 inches tall. The bird's wingspan is about 4 1/2 inches. PLEASE NOTE: these photos are of samples for illustration.
