The Narwhal is thought to have given rise to the myth of the unicorn. Narwhal tusks found their way into mediaeval Europe where perhaps unscrupulous traders sold them as the horn of the mystical four legged beast. The Narwhal itself is about 6 inches long and, mounted on its polished burlwood base, stands about 7 inches tall. It is molded of Pellucida, our proprietary resin compound that resembles Bisque porcelain but is more durable. The horn is detachable as they sometimes get broken, or amazingly frequently, get chewed by cats. It comes with a spare horn. PLEASE NOTE; these photos are of illustrative samples only.
