This crystalline container soy candle was made by us in our home studio. All of our pieces are hand thrown on the potter's wheel. No two pieces are exactly alike in form, & the crystal formations can never be duplicated. Therefore, each piece is truly one-of-a-kind. Crystalline glazes are different than most glazes in that the pattern you see on them is created from zinc silicate crystals, similar to the naturally occurring mineral called willemite. These crystals literally grow in the glaze, but only with careful attention to glaze application, glaze composition, & a very controlled firing process. Holds 5 fluid ounces. The inside is glazed with a food safe plain solid white glaze so you can use it as a cup/tumbler after all of the wax is removed. We handpoured EcoSoya soy wax in this pot & added the scent, Sea Salt Blossom. The bottom was ground flat to a smooth finish. There is no foot ring, it has a flat bottom. It was fired to 2345 degrees Fahrenheit (high fire cone 10) & cooled in a specific process to grow crystals. The glaze chemical composition is formulated by us. Please contact us for international shipping rates. Q: Do these candles have lead wicks? A: Our candles are created with pure cotton ECO wicks that are free from lead & completely safe. Q: How can I keep my candles looking their best? A: Store your candles in a cool, dry place. It is natural for soy wax candles to have rough tops or tiny white spots after burning & resolidifying. This does not affect the quality or burn of the candle. When relit, it will return to a nice liquid melt pool. Q: Why do candle wicks sometimes become mushroom shaped? A: When the candle is consuming wax more quickly than the flame can burn completely, carbon deposits may develop. This will most likely occur when the wick needs to be trimmed. Blow out the flame, trim off the wick & carbon deposit & relight. Do not allow the wick trimmings or other materials to fall into the wax pool. Q: Can I refill my jar candle when it is empty? A: Yes! Bring your Moonlit Method candle pot back to us & we'll refill it for only $5 with a new fragrant soy candle! Just choose one of our available scents, safely return your empty pot to us (no need to clean the pots out), & arrange to come pick it up at our next event or have it shipped back to you (shipping fees will apply). Q: How can I remove candle wax from fabric? A: Soy wax is water soluble. First get as much excess wax off as much as possible. Then simply use soap & hot water to get the wax out. Q: If I wanted to repurpose my empty candle pots, how can I remove the leftover wax & metal wick base? A: To remove remaining wax, pry wax from the jar, removing as much as possible. Place the jar in the sink, & fill it with hot water from the tap. Let the jar sit a minute, then, with hot water, scrub the wax off the container. Once all wax is removed, simply pour in enough rubbing alcohol to cover the base & allow the jar to sit for a few days. The rubbing alcohol should soften the adhesive & release the base. It is important that you allow the rubbing alcohol time to work & that you don't pry at the base with your hand or any object.
