Back in 1972 Jonathan Livingston Seagull helped this graceful bird become a best seller & launch the studio. This is the outdoor version. An indoor version is also available at a lower price. The wingspan of the bird is 14 inches. It is molded in our durable proprietary compound of resins, Pellucida. The bird is SIGNED comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. The bird is painted so as to shield the resin from destructive UV rays. The wire is galvanized steel, so it will not rust & the suspending cord is a special 65 pound test fishing line made of a fiber akin to Kevlar (the fiber used in modern body armor) said to last for 5 years outdoors. We suggest, to be safe, it be replaced every three years. Suspended from this nearly invisible line, it appears to be soaring, moving with the slightest breath of air. The angle of the bird can be adjusted to taste by slightly bending the suspending wire, causing it to bank, dive or climb.
