Blame It On Texas: 19 x 20 is a one-of-a-kind wall hanging quilt that has 380 two-inch fabric squares arranged in a 19x20 grid to present a bold map of Texas. All the un-pieced print squares are unique, although some of the half & quarter pieced squares do repeat fabrics, & many of the beige background squares are repeats. The front has triple borders, two different black patterned strips separated by a rodeo cowboy strip. The back, which has a black hang sleeve that matches the binding, features a multitude of western images on the diverse bands. The batting is polyester. I have custom quilted the hanging on a Baby Lock Quilter's Choice Professional Machine. I gathered the fabrics over several years to create Blame It on Texas: 19 x 20 & sincerely believe it to be un-reproducable because much of the material is vintage or long out of print. This wall hanging would engage Texans of any age, & it would display nicely in such public areas as a waiting room or lobby. It would equally well become a focal point in an office, lodge great room, or home entryway. Wherever you hang it, it will occasion interest & generate pleasure, especially for Lone Star Lovers. Wash in cool water on gentlest cycle of machine using soap, not detergent. Rinse twice & then lay flat on a clean surface out of direct sun to dry. I make all of my quilts myself in Wild & Wonderful West Virginia, where the Appalachian tradition remains vital. My home is smoke-free, & I take pride in the quality & utility of the art that I create. My quilts win blue ribbons when I show them locally, & you can be proud to display or enjoy them in your home.
