This solid bronze sculpture consists of 3 little bronze birds on 2, cast in bronze, branches of the curl Hazel. This decorative branches lend themselves well to cast. On the anterior branch, which, if you look closely resembles a human figure, 2 bronze birdies are welded. The cheerful raised tail suggests a Wren or a Robin. On a second branch a third birdie looks down. in making the birdies I have used material from nature. The two branches fit in natural holes in a decorative (spaghetti) stone. The stone is fragile & not as heavy, thereby not really all that stable, but makes this image up to a beautiful whole. The bronze is smooth finished. With brown patina. The size: height 35 cm branch. The total image is about 20 cm. wide & 22 cm. deep, Weight 1.3 kg. together with stone. The bottom of the branches have a diameter of about 6 mm. Weight stone: 0.8 kg It is possible to ship with careful packing, but if it possible coming to get it is better. I guess You have a safe place to this very original image. Making a bronze sculpture is a lot of work. You have to make a wax form first, you can use all kind of materials as long as it can burn. I like to use materials from nature. Making a mold is a very secure job. The mold is put in the oven for a long time. After cleaning, the mold can be filled with red hot flowed bronze. I did this process, except casting, myself, But now I have found a professional bronze caster who is casting my sculptures. The costs making a bronze sculpture are very high, It is hard work but very nice to do. BRONZE IS FOR EVER I like to use things from nature & I like monkeys very much.
