"Red Hat Society Pillow Appliqued & Quilted, Embroidered "

This Red Hat Society pillow would be a perfect gift for a grandmother who is a Red Hatter. When I am an old woman I shall wear purple, With a red hat which doesn't go, & doesn't suit me... These are the words to the poem entitled: Warning by Jenny Joseph. This poem was the impetus for the group known as The Red Hat Society. This pillow measures 16 inches by 18 inches & was inspired by fabric I purchased several years ago. The design of the hat was pulled directly from the fabric's motif. The jaunty red hat is hand appliqued using a needle turn technique. The word Hattitude is hand embroidered using purple embroidery floss. The hat band is embellished with a handmade purple felt flower & green leaves. The back of the pillow features graphics depicting various hats, handbags & shoes.
