Hand Carved & Hand Painted Artist, Johnny Hagerman of Wardell, VA graduated from Radford University in 1976 with a B.S. Degree in Art Education. His career in Brick Sculpture enabled him to provide outstanding art work throughout the United States & is featured in places such as; the Opryland Hotel, many primary, secondary, & higher education facilities, churches, mausoleums, welcome centers, lending institutions, corporate office buildings, upscale farm & sub-division entrances, libraries, parks & museums, medical facilities, restaurants, stadiums & ball parks, & in private settings. His work is often featured in the BIA (Brick Institution of America) publication & was once an issue focus in Southern Living Magazine & has had exposure on the Dan Patrick show. Johnny has recently worked closely with Head Football Coach Butch Jones of the University of Tennessee on the Brick by Brick brand. As of January 1, 2015 General Shale Brick closed their Brick as Art department & Johnny is now independent from them while still having access to raw materials.
