Antefix, Hand Made Sculpt, Unique Form, Ancient Vs Contemporary

I made Antefix using wax (for candles). Since I like ancient antefix it was very likely for me to make an contemporary antefix with a different shape (like a child). This is why my antefix has two different eyes. I took my lessons in sculpture (2007-2008-2009) courses in plastic, metal, bronze sculpture & marble sculpture at the Laboratory of Nicholas Perantinos Museum (Athens & Paros, Greece). My teacher (Eydokia Papouli) show me the way to figure the shapes of the sculpts I wanted to create. Antefix stands indoor in every house as an art item. Handmade art craft. It is made from bronze. It can be made from aluminium On 2016 I created Antefix, a sculpt that represents an ancient antefix. I am very fond of ancient history & specially antefix. It is an outdoor jewellery of the house! Antefix was originally used in ancient temples & afterwards in renaissance & Neo-Classic buildings. Edge bricks kept roof tiles in place.
