"Antique Hand-Woven Grain Sack 12""x16"

I love this primitive angel & her star. She is wishing us blessings at Yuletide. This is an item made from an original flax/hemp grain sack that is at least 60 years old & possibly over 100 years old. These sacks were hand woven by the farmers' wives & families during the long cold European winters & originate from all over Europe. It is hand-stenciled for detail. This cover is fitted for a 12x16 insert to be found ant any store selling fabric. The back shows the standard envelope closure. (NOTE: the hem on the back flap is the original from the weaver's own hand) As stated above, these are hand-woven. Slubs & slight variations in the thread tones are a part of the natural beauty of this fabric. There may also be light staining or patches. The patches were sewn on by the original owner as a way to preserve the sack for further use. This item is CLEAN. These sacks are 100% machine washable! I washed them on a regular, warm cycle so you receive them clean, & then air dried them (however you can also tumble dry them).Should you find any dirt present simply add Oxyclean or similar.
