Candle Holder-Tea Light Holder-Wood-Mountain Ash

The tea light holder-candle stand is made from the wood of an mountain ash I brought with me from Sweden. The wood grows there very slowly & is therefore dense & heavy. The branches of the mountain ash had to be blended & were peeled off immediately after sawing. The wood was dried & then processed here in Germany. The cut surfaces are finely sanded & the candle holder is treated with wood oil. The hole for the tea light is 40 mm in size, so standard tea dishes, fragrance tea dishes & also LED tea lights fit into the candle holder. The stand area is smoothly sanded. The natural materials such as wood & horn give me the templates for the design of my objects due to their diverse shapes, colours & grain. They are wonderful, warm & vibrant materials. All my objects made of wood can have pores, cracks, branches, mispoints & also wormholes or bites of insects or other animals. These are deliberately not removed by me, but used to design the objects. Nature, like us, is not perfect & has small quirks & flaws. It is up to us to acquire these, & to see the true beauty in the materials that nature offers us. She gives us so many wonderful things, you just have to discover & perceive them.
