"Sculpture ""Little F??tus"

Little Ftus Year of origin: 2009 Little Ftus belongs to a series of related forms that deal with the themes of seed & egg, embryo & seedling, navel & folds, skull & capsules, dream & sleep, etc. An illustration shows several of these pieces in a synopsis in the so-called Seminarium. This embryonic form is handmade & polished from Jena alabaster. The closed eye & the open fontanel are gilded with leaves. Place the little ftus on a soft piece of fabric, fur, felt, etc. - the hand-friendly stone surface invites you to touch it - but be careful in the area of the fontanel: touch it only very lightly, otherwise the gilding will be rubbed off over time. On the back of the sculpture, a hole is inserted in such a way that the relief can also be hung on the wall on a nail or screw pointing slightly diagonally upwards. It is recommended to use a softly coloured wall or a discreetly monochrome cloth stretched behind it in order to optimally accentuate the effect of the circular shape, the plastic forms & the material structure. A white or generally too light background is not recommended. As can be seen in three of the illustrations, it is possible to exhibit the little foetus in a glass cylinder with felt insert. If this is desired, please let me know & the container with lid & felt will be included (no additional costs for you).
